Process
How an order works
Four steps, and you approve the price before anything is printed. Nothing here needs a meeting, a minimum order, or a contract.
-
You describe the part
Write to preston@spaceage3d.com with what the part must do, the measurements it has to meet, and a photograph or a sketch if you have one. A rough description is enough to start; we will ask for whatever is missing.
-
We reply with questions and a quote
You get an answer from the person who will do the work, a proposed material and finish, and a written quote with the price and the expected lead time. The quote is where the price is actually set.
-
You approve, and we print
Work starts when you approve the quote. For a custom design we send a photograph of the first print, and you say whether to adjust it or continue. Changes before that approval cost nothing extra beyond the quoted work.
-
It ships, and you check it
The finished part is photographed, packed, and shipped to you in the USA. If it does not fit the way we agreed, tell us: the fix is either a reprint of the same design or a revised one, and we will say which before you decide.
Timing and files
What to expect
Lead time is quoted, not promised here
Print time depends on the size, the material, and the queue in front of you. The quote states the lead time for your order, and you will hear from us if that changes.
Files stay yours
You may ask for the model files with the finished part, and they are included when you ask. Otherwise we keep them so a reprint is a one-line message rather than a new project.
Printing a file you already have
If the model is yours, send it as STL, 3MF, STEP, or OBJ. If it has problems, we will tell you what we found and what it costs to repair before printing.
Prices shown on this site are guidance for planning. The quote for your order is the price that applies. See pricing.
